The video shows the making of “Portrait of Gregor Samsa”, with a timelapse covering several painting sessions over a period of nine days. Only canvas priming and preparatory underpainting are not shown, as for final painting fixing, varnishing and restretching.

The work has a final size of 130×200 cm and it’s made using oils, acrylics, charcoal and some light touch of oil pastels. Almost all the colours used are self-made. The sessions took place between March and April 2020.
