Spanning from 2019 to 2023, the Masquerade series serves in some respects as a return to the thematic structures of D’Adamo’s Dyssomnia cycle, albeit with a fresh compositional approach. Beyond the evident embrace of a richer chromatic palette, these works mark the re-emergence of vaguely figurative elements on the canvas—infused into both the visual imagery and the titles with a subtle sense of irony.
