After three years of work the Chimere collection came to its conclusion. It’s made of about 60 works, painted between 2017 and 2019. The following video traces its “journey” with some of its most representative works.

“Chasing these chimeras has been the main research by Francesco D’Adamo since 2017. These works are rooted in post-war Italian “Informale” movement and American Abstract Expressionism and are distinguished by a strong lyrical element in their composition and overall palette. A pronounced musical aura is evident in all gestures and marks that cross the painting surface, as well as the union of traditional and contemporary techniques in its construction. As the paintings’ titles often suggest, a deep narrative feeling runs through the whole series”.
